Case:
This example features symmetrical lugs and is in excellent vintage condition. It has been expertly cleaned by one of our technicians, and was not polished by us, but was likely lightly polished in the past. There are some light hairline scratches on the back of the case and normal-to-light wear distributed evenly throughout the case.

Dial:
The original silver dial is crisp with only a few minor marks, and small scratch along the minutes register at 11 o'clock.

Movement:
The fully-serviced manual-wind calibre by Longines is in excellent condition.

Bracelet:
This watch comes on an aftermarket 12mm dark brown lizard strap.

The Longines “Sei Tacche” represents a pivotal moment in the brand’s evolution where classical elegance met a new, quietly technical approach to case construction. The nickname, translating to “six notches,” refers to the six-point screw-down caseback that defined this family of references and marked Longines’ response to post-war demands for increased durability and water resistance. While often associated with larger men’s models, the Sei Tacche was also executed in smaller, more refined proportions, offering the same architectural integrity in a ladies’ size format. This 1953 example captures that ethos perfectly, distilling utility and elegance into a compact, beautifully balanced design.

The stainless steel case is gently rounded and softly contoured, with elegant, elongated lugs that belie the watch’s modest diameter and lend it a poised wrist presence. Its proportions are restrained and harmonious, showing only very minor wear.
