Timepieces are packed in our Los Angeles showroom, and then shipped with fully-insured 1 or 2-Day shipping via FedEx within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required upon delivery to ensure coverage. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee. For clients in Los Angeles, we’re pleased to offer in-person delivery or showroom pickup by appointment.

Returns must be shipped via overnight or priority international service, fully insured, and at the buyer’s expense. A label will be provided and a restocking fee may apply. All returns must be received in the original condition as when shipped.

Longines was one of the great practical watchmakers of the mid-20th century, and its military-style watches from the 1930s and 1940s sit at a particularly interesting point in the brand’s history. These were not decorative objects trying to merely appear rugged, They came from an era when legibility, reliability, and case construction mattered in daily use. The “Sei Tacche” name, Italian for “six notches,” refers to the six-notched screw-back case, a construction associated with Longines’ early water-resistant watches. In the broader Longines military vocabulary, it places this 1944 example alongside the sort of straightforward, purpose-led wristwatches that have become appreciated by collectors.

This watch has the quiet confidence of that period. The stainless steel case measures 31mm across and 38.5mm lug to lug, proportions that are compact by modern standards but very much in line with wartime and immediate postwar wristwatches. The symmetrical lugs give the case a balanced profile, while the round steel form keeps the design restrained and functional. It is not a large watch, but it has the clarity and presence that make these smaller military Longines pieces so appealing on the wrist.
