Timepieces are packed in our Los Angeles showroom, and then shipped with fully-insured 1 or 2-Day shipping via FedEx within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required upon delivery to ensure coverage. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee. For clients in Los Angeles, we’re pleased to offer in-person delivery or showroom pickup by appointment.

Returns must be shipped via overnight or priority international service, fully insured, and at the buyer’s expense. A label will be provided and a restocking fee may apply. All returns must be received in the original condition as when shipped.

By the end of the 1930s, Omega had already established itself as one of Switzerland’s most technically accomplished manufactures, producing watches that combined robust movements with the restrained, highly functional design language that would come to define the period. This example, dating to 1939, captures that moment particularly well. Its black gilt dial, compact steel case and softly-stepped profile give it a presence that feels distinctly pre-war, while remaining remarkably elegant more than eighty years later.

The dial is undoubtedly the focal point. Finished in black with gilt Arabic numerals, a finely printed outer minute track and a subsidiary seconds register at six o’clock, it has the graphic clarity associated with some of the most appealing watches of the era. Gold-colored leaf hands provide a warm contrast against the darker surface, while the dial has developed a subtle patina that speaks naturally to its age without overwhelming the design. Black dials from this period are especially compelling today, both for their relative scarcity and for the dramatic manner in which gilt printing reveals itself under changing light.

Surrounding it is a 30.5mm stainless-steel case whose proportions are elevated by a pronounced stepped bezel. This architectural detail adds considerable depth to what is otherwise a restrained Calatrava-style form, giving the watch a stronger wrist presence than its dimensions might suggest.
