Timepieces are packed in our Los Angeles showroom, and then shipped with fully-insured 1 or 2-Day shipping via FedEx within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required upon delivery to ensure coverage. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee. For clients in Los Angeles, we’re pleased to offer in-person delivery or showroom pickup by appointment.

Returns must be shipped via overnight or priority international service, fully insured, and at the buyer’s expense. A label will be provided and a restocking fee may apply. All returns must be received in the original condition as when shipped.

Cushion-shaped wristwatches occupy a particularly appealing chapter of early twentieth-century watchmaking. Popular during the 1920s and 1930s, their softened square outlines offered an elegant alternative to both round cases and more angular designs. Dating to circa 1935, this Omega captures that period’s appeal through a compelling combination of sculpted steel, expressive numerals, and delicate Breguet-style hands.

The case is its most immediately distinctive feature. Measuring 30mm across and 35mm from lug to lug, it surrounds a circular dial with broad, gently curved shoulders and an unusually attractive stepped profile. Rather than presenting a single uninterrupted surface, the bezel and outer shoulders are separated by sweeping transitions that give the case depth and catch the light from different angles. Short, downturned lugs complete the silhouette, lending this modestly sized watch a pleasing sense of substance.

There is a clear visual kinship with the early cushion-cased Rolex Oysters of the period: the compact proportions, rounded corners, and circular dial within a softly squared frame. Yet the Omega’s flowing, stepped treatment gives it a character of its own. It is this balance of familiar proportions and distinctive detailing that makes the case so engaging.

The original silver dial provides a warm counterpoint to the steel, having developed a mottled, cream-toned patina. Breguet-style Arabic numerals bring movement and personality to the otherwise restrained layout, their curling forms complemented by a discreet outer 13–24 scale. A subsidiary seconds register at six, framed by finely printed graduations, anchors the composition beneath the Omega signature. Together, these details reward a closer look without overwhelming the dial.

Particularly beautiful are the blue Breguet-style hands, whose slender profiles and open circular tips echo the curves of the hour numerals. The hand design traces its origins to Abraham-Louis Breguet’s late-eighteenth-century work, lending a classical note to the watch’s interwar geometry. Here, their vivid blue offers a striking contrast against the aged dial, providing one of the watch’s most memorable details.

Inside is a fully serviced, 15-jewel manually wound Omega movement. For the collector drawn to early Oysters or the more individual expressions of pre-war Omega, this is a particularly satisfying combination: a distinctive case, beautifully coordinated numerals and hands, and the character that comes with age.
