Timepieces are packed in our Los Angeles showroom, and then shipped with fully-insured 1 or 2-Day shipping via FedEx within 5 business days of purchase. An adult signature is required upon delivery to ensure coverage. Expedited shipping options are available for an additional fee. For clients in Los Angeles, we’re pleased to offer in-person delivery or showroom pickup by appointment.

Returns must be shipped via overnight or priority international service, fully insured, and at the buyer’s expense. A label will be provided and a restocking fee may apply. All returns must be received in the original condition as when shipped.

By 1930, the wristwatch had fully come into its own, no longer simply a practical adaptation of the pocket watch but a serious object of design. Omega was one of the great Swiss houses working through this shift, and rectangular watches from this period are among the clearest expressions of the era. The Ref. 886 19.4 belongs very much to that moment, when Art Deco design brought clean lines, architectural proportions, and a certain quiet elegance to the wrist.

This example is especially charming for its tastefully integrated two-tone 18k yellow and white gold case, a detail that gives the watch a richer and more dimensional presence than a traditional monochrome case. The articulating swivel lugs are the defining feature here. They allow the watch to sit naturally on the wrist while also giving the case a sense of movement and mechanical sophistication. At 23mm across and 40mm lug to lug, it has the slim, elongated profile one hopes for in a 1930s rectangular watch, with a thickness of just 6.7mm that keeps it refined and easy to wear.

The silver Omega dial has aged with real character, showing applied yellow gold Breguet-style numerals, a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock, and "modern"-style hands that suit the geometry of the case. The dial remains in good vintage condition, with patina and light oxidative spotting that feel appropriate for a watch of this vintage. These signs of time give the watch the kind of warmth that collectors often look for, reflecting the evocative wear of time, like the water against a Venetian palazzo.

Inside is a fully serviced manual-winding Omega calibre, noted to be in excellent condition. The watch is paired with a brown leather strap and gold-colored buckle, a simple and fitting choice that lets the case and dial remain the focus. Taken as a whole, this Ref. 886 19.4 is a beautiful example of Omega’s early rectangular wristwatch design, historically interesting, visually distinctive, and still very wearable nearly a century later.
